What the app includes

Microphone or spoken answers do not work

Spoken answers need both Microphone and Speech Recognition permission and a device that supports on-device speech recognition.

1. Open the iPhone or iPad Settings app.
2. Find CCAR-P Prep.
3. Allow Microphone and Speech Recognition access.
4. Return to CCAR-P Prep and try Listen again.

The app never falls back to server speech recognition. If on-device recognition is unavailable, use the on-screen answer controls. Spoken question playback does not require microphone access.

Reminders do not appear

1. In CCAR-P Prep, open Settings and enable Daily reminder.
2. Open the device Settings app, then Notifications, then CCAR-P Prep.
3. Allow notifications and badges.
4. Return to the app and choose the reminder time again.

Reminders are local and depend on the device's notification settings and current study schedule.

iCloud progress does not sync

• Confirm the device is signed into iCloud and iCloud Drive is enabled.
• Confirm CCAR-P Prep is allowed to use iCloud.
• Open the app's Settings screen and check the iCloud status message.
• Keep both devices online and reopen the app.

If iCloud is unavailable, the app continues with local storage. The publisher cannot inspect or repair a user's private iCloud database remotely.

Remove study data

• Use Erase all progress to remove question reviews and answer history and cancel reminders.
• Use Reset reading progress to clear reading marks.
• Use Remove imported questions to delete a locally imported question bank.
• Manage remaining private app data through the device's Apple Account and iCloud storage settings.

Reinstall or redownload the paid app

CCAR-P Prep is purchased once through the App Store. To redownload it, use the same Apple Account and open the App Store purchase history. Apple controls purchase history, Family Sharing availability, refunds, billing, and regional prices.

Import questions

The import file must be a JSON array. Each object needs domain, question, options, answer, and explanation. answer is the zero-based index of the correct option. Malformed and duplicate entries are skipped.

Imported files remain in the app's local container and are not uploaded to the publisher. Only import material you are allowed to use, and do not include confidential or personal information.

CarPlay voice drill

CarPlay displays one Start Voice Drill action. During a 10-question batch, the head unit displays only Talking or Listening and the current question number. Questions and answers are spoken; their text is never shown on the CarPlay display. Long case-study questions are excluded.

CarPlay will not connect

Confirm the iPhone is unlocked, CarPlay is enabled for the vehicle, and the cable or wireless pairing is working. Keep the vehicle in Park while pairing and accept any CarPlay prompts on the iPhone and head unit.

CCAR-P Prep is not visible in CarPlay

Open the iPhone Settings app, choose General, then CarPlay, select the vehicle, and check that CCAR-P Prep is allowed. Install the current release build and reconnect the iPhone after changing the app list.

Voice Drill cannot start or listen

Voice Drill needs Microphone and Speech Recognition permission. Enable both for CCAR-P Prep in iPhone Settings, reconnect CarPlay, and select Start Voice Drill again. Recognition remains on device. The app remains usable on the iPhone when the head unit is unavailable.

Exam and score disclaimer

Practice results are study aids, not official exam scores. A raw percentage cannot reproduce a scaled certification score, and no study app can guarantee a pass. Verify current exam registration, format, price, policies, and objectives with official sources before relying on them.
